Job Description

Program plant floor Automation PLCs and design computer-based HMI interfaces.

  Troubleshoot, maintain, and modify controls server systems.

  Set up and tune PID loops.

  Select, install, troubleshoot, and maintain process, packaging, and utility equipment along with instrumentation (flow, level, temperature, weight).

  Utilize Rockwell Automation communication methods (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, RIO) and electrical hardware (PowerFlex VFD, Servos, MCCs, ControlLogix, E3 Plus overload relay).

  Manage plant electrical control programs, documentation, and drawings.

  Train and direct maintenance personnel and provide support to other engineers.

  Adhere to NEC, ANSI, OSHA, and NFPA standards.

  Maintain electrical infrastructure programs, power factor management, and electrical monitoring.

  Ensure safe and efficient plant operation through knowledge of power distribution systems, motor control centers, VFDs, and process/packaging/utility equipment.

  Analyze process and equipment performance data to improve product quality and reduce costs.

  Maintain corporate and plant electrical and control standards.

  Support the deployment and sharing of best practices and standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

Strong skills in reading and interpreting electrical and control schematics, PIDs, and technical documentation.

  Understanding of motors, drives, and associated circuitry.

  Familiarity with various electrical machine control technologies.

  Self-driven and effective working independently and as part of a team.

  Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.

  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  Organized and able to multi-task.

  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  Occasional travel required.

  Minimum 2-year A.S. degree in electrical technology or comparable experience.

  2+ years of experience in manufacturing with hands-on exposure to electrical maintenance and controls programming.

  Experience with PLC controls, HMIs, and networks, and ability to partner with controls engineers for problem-solving, design, and improvements.

  Experience with power distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, and power factor correction equipment. null
