The Summer 2025 Structural Engineering Internship at Enclos offers a 10-12-week immersive experience where candidates gain hands-on knowledge of Enclos' engineering processes while contributing to landmark building projects.

    Internship Details

  • Onboarding and Training: The internship begins with a comprehensive onboarding process, introducing curtainwall façade design concepts, interdepartmental collaboration, company operations, and technology training in platforms like Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Engineering Focus: Interns will explore key aspects of Structural Engineering at Enclos, including façade loading requirements, industry standards, building and façade system movements, and fundamental structural analysis such as allowable stress calculations, member moment, deflection evaluation, and connection/anchorage design.

  • Progressive Learning: Interns will engage with various topics on a weekly basis, learning through a combination of concepts, processes, and software applications. As they progress, they will apply their skills to real project work.

  • Real-World Experience: Interns will have the opportunity to participate in project, departmental, and specialist team meetings, gaining practical industry insights.

  • Project Contribution: Toward the end of the internship, interns will apply their acquired skills to support a current project under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).

  • Future Opportunities: Successful interns may be offered part-time work while completing their degree or a full-time position upon graduation.

    Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program.

  • Certification: Possession of an E.I.T. Certificate or scheduled to take the F.E. exam.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in or willingness to learn CAD, structural analysis software, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet tools.

    Schedule & Duration

  • Work Hours: The internship requires in-person attendance, 40 hours per week, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at our corporate office located at 3500 American Blvd W, Bloomington, MN 55431.

  • Duration: This is a 10-12-week program with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent full-time position offering competitive pay.

    Benefits

  • Internship Status: This internship does not include benefits, holiday pay, or Flexible Time Off (FTO). Full benefits become available upon transition to a permanent position.
