Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Bloomington, Minnesota. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be operating in the manufacturing industry and your primary role will be to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support activities related to monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close in a timely manner

• Oversee the preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations

• Conduct regular reconciliations of sub-ledgers to general ledgers

• Collaborate with business partners and provide support for external related audits

• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and implement improvements to assigned accounting processes

• Uphold appropriate internal controls

• Contribute to ad-hoc tasks/projects as required

• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to fulfill these responsibilities and contribute to the team's success. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes

• Experience in performing Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software

• Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Costs

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• CPA certification is preferred but not required

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Advanced understanding of financial and accounting processes

• Excellent data analysis skills.
