Ziegler CAT Retail Merchandise Specialist in Bloomington, Minnesota

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Retail Merchandise Specialist who will lead the strategic development and execution of in-store and online merchandising of parts, accessories, and branded apparel to promote the image, products, and services of Ziegler Cat. This position will be responsible for developing retail and brand standards, including seasonal visual merchandising displays, establishing and maintaining consistent retail areas, and managing a web presence for our retail products and other parts inventories. This position will work with outside vendors as well as internal departments to ensure product turns, trends and profitability are maintained. Responsibilities: Orders, maintains and prices appropriate levels of branded merchandise throughout the Ziegler organization Establishes and maintains a standardized retail presence in all Ziegler locations Creates and distributes planograms, POS displays, and common fixtures to promote sales Develops short and long term visual merchandising plans to support growth initiatives Manages and administers web-based distribution strategies for other parts inventories Researches new merchandising ideas and marketplace trends to improve competitive position Manages inventory to ensure that products and merchandise displays are seasonal and trend appropriate Develops sales strategies to turn inventories as needed based upon age, turns and special promotions Analyzes inventories and sales revenues and creates monthly management reports Establishes guidelines and policies concerning loss prevention and inventory shrinkage Establishes a retail presence for off-site events and attends or monitors such events or trade shows Collaborates with branch personnel to establish a retail presence that meets company expectations Promotes Ziegler PartStore and Parts.Cat.com to end users and provide functional support as needed Creates strong working relationships with all vendors and Ziegler branch locations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in merchandising preferred; HS degree required 1-2 years of experience in product merchandising, online retail marketing or related field Solid experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Online marketing experience preferred Personal Attributes: Achievement Orientation, Attention to Detail, Creative Thinking, Planning and Organization, Problem Solving Must have have and maintain a clean driving record Travel: Up to 35% travel primarily by car within our territory Minimum Physical Requirements: Push/pull up to 25 lbs Lift/carry up to 25 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, and trunk rotation.
