Job Description Beacon Hill's client is seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to join their team in Bloomington, MN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the order entry process, analyzing production demand, and ensuring timely creation of job orders to meet customer requirements for their Product Change Notification (PCN) demands. This role also involves managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) for our long-term their long-term contract customers. This position is contract-to-hire, and onsite in Bloomington, MN. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter customer purchase orders accurately and timely.
- Create and communicate sales order acknowledgements to customers or Account Managers.
- Analyze production and inventory demand from multiple sources; generate job orders to meet customer and stocking requirements based on quantity and due dates.
- Input customer forecasts in PCN.
- Manage and input ECOs and maintain BOMs for long-term contract customers within the PCN.
- Assist Production and Account Management in resolving issues related to job order routings and BOMs for work-in-process jobs.
- Build and nurture relationships across different functions to ensure planning strategies align with company objectives.
- Enter rework and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) routes as needed by the production floor.
- Monitor annual sales forecasts using the Thrive forecasting tool; analyze revenue trends and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Act as backup for Master Scheduler, including leading daily production meetings, reviewing MRP recommendations, and adjusting schedules to maintain production efficiency and meet customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in order entry is essential.
- Ability to work Monday-Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday from 7:30am to 2:00pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
