To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. __ Position Overview:As a DigiKey Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the DigiKey department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you'll work on throughout the internship. This is a hybrid role which will require onsite attendance. Responsibilities: Research modern technologies or capabilities Learn and utilize the team's work methods, processes, and technology Assist in building and/or running technology and processes Assist in documentation and reporting Assist in day-to-day operations Support projects and initiatives Operate in a remote distributed environment using video calls, audio calls, e-mail, and instant messaging Perform cybersecurity duties as described under responsibilities Attend team meetings, Agile ceremonies, along with meetings concerning projects, initiatives, troubleshooting, cyber investigations and more Attend on-site activities at DigiKey's expense Plan and execute work in a formal Agile environment using modern Agile tools Create, update, and refine formal presentations, operational documents, reports, and other documentation as needed using Office 365 or other tools Work closely with mentors to learn technology, concepts, and operations Operate within high-performing teams Coordinate with other teams as necessary to facilitate work Learn and work with state-of-the-art cybersecurity tools Capstone Project: Gain practical experience in the assigned department Develop a deeper understanding of DigiKey and how it operates Improve business skills such as communication, project management, data analysis, etc. Build a professional network within the industry Requirements The best candidate for this position will be a current student or recent graduate with an education in finance, risk management, business management,cybersecurity or an applicable area of study and a strong interest in hands-on learning experiences. Associates or bachelor programs or equivalent work experience with entry-level certification (e.g. CompTIA A+) Read and understand technical documents, regulations, and industry publications Write formal documents such as policies or standards Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including average to above-average computer ability Comfortable speaking with and present to individuals, small groups, and large audiences Be willing to take the initiative, working independently and collaboratively Demonstrating a positive, collaborative approach is important in this role Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship Preferred Skills Scripting or software development skills Ability to understand and analyze activity logs Basic understanding of computer networking Physical Requirements: Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body .
