Hunt Electric Corporation Generator Service Manager in Bloomington, Minnesota

This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will move to Eagan in 2025. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Generator Service Manager is responsible for building and maintaining effective customer service for internal and external Hunt Electric customers by utilizing excellent communication skills and in-depth knowledge of customer s workflow requirements and company services. Key Responsibilities: - Answer incoming phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and schedule service and maintenance calls with customers and technicians. - Manage and prioritize the daily assignments and scheduling of technicians for service calls, maintenance calls, and generator installs. - Acts as the first point of contact for all calls (sales, billing, questions, etc.) and can occasionally include night and weekend service calls. - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. Create new relationships with prospective customers. - Collaborate with all Hunt divisions to effectively serve customers. - Generate work orders, purchase orders, subcontracts, and master service agreements. Installation Coordination: - Preparing job documentation and scheduling with all involved parties, including utility company, warehouse, customers, and technicians. - Issue Master Service Agreements and coordinate with subcontractors. - Assist in pulling permits and calling for inspections when needed. - Make schedule corrections as needed. Warranty: - Write up warranty work orders and file paperwork with Generac. Service Contracts: - Create new service contracts. - Answer customer questions about maintenance and monitoring program. - Assist in drafting and renewing service contracts. Warehouse - Oversee, organize and inventory incoming and outgoing parts. Miscellaneous: - Update and maintain tracking logs for ongoing projects and service calls. - Update dispatch board. - Address customer billing questions and concerns in a timely manner. - Support project managers and collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and effectiveness. - Monitor generator Fleet and contact customers as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - High School Diploma and 3-5 years experience in customer and account management. - Strong track record in Customer Service. - Must have a high degree of organization and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, resources, deadlines and projects with minimal supervision. - Cooperative attitude and the flexibility to changing priorities is key to success. - Ability to work across departments and skill levels. - Outstanding organizational and time management skills. - Ability to meet deadlines under pressure. - Ability to prioritize and to work independently. - Must have solid written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external business customers.
