ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Estimating Database Specialist will perform a wide variety of clerical and IT related tasks to support the electrical preconstruction team on estimating software. This person will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Database. A high degree of accuracy, communication, and attention to detail is required.
Create & maintain items, assemblies, and templates for the estimating software database.
Update commodity pricing and labor rates for the estimating database.
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish required tasks.
Collaborate with all members of the preconstruction team to establish process / workflows.
Responsible for training / assisting project team with the use of on-site programs such as Bluebeam and Procore, to manage all database related documents and established workflows.
Coordinate with Hunt Electric preconstruction team to deploy / maintain all Enterprise related IT needs.
Interface with the preconstruction teams as well as Designers, Project Managers, General Foreman, and others to resolve issues throughout the project.
Accurately enter data into estimating software.
Verify and maintain detailed records of estimating database revisions and other supporting documents as needed, to serve as back-up and turnover to management/preconstruction team.
Participate in committees and department meetings, as well as estimate debriefs.
Participate as an Estimator II when workload is either light or estimators are in high demand.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) year degree in related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low voltage estimating, National Electrical Code requirements, and design/build estimating preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, and virtual meeting software.
Computerized estimating skills using Enterprise or another estimating software.
Competent organizational skills and attention to detail.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up-to 10 pounds.
