We are moving our headquarters to Eagan in 2025! This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will move to Eagan in 2025.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex low-voltage projects. The Senior Project Manager will manage all phases of limited energy projects, from pre-construction through project close-out, ensuring successful execution in alignment with project goals, client expectations, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in limited energy systems and a proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects involving low-voltage electrical systems, including fire alarms, security, and communications infrastructure.

  • Lead and manage large-scale limited energy projects, including fire alarm, security, and communication systems, from planning through completion.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Ensure all systems comply with relevant codes, industry standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC), and client specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to review and approve designs, submittals, and shop drawings.

  • Manage communication between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring timely and clear project updates.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust as needed to meet timelines and goals.

  • Oversee procurement, ensuring all materials and equipment are delivered on time and meet project specifications.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality and ensure safety and compliance.

  • Track and report on project financials, including job costing, budget tracking, and change orders.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk management policies, and industry best practices.

  • Lead project meetings and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members.

  • Travel to job sites as needed to oversee critical project phases.

    $110,000-$155,000 + discretionary bonus + employee ownership + benefits

    Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.     QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • 5-10 years of experience in project management, particularly in low-voltage or limited energy systems.

  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm, security, communication cabling, and other low-voltage systems, as well as relevant industry codes and standards.

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

  • PMP certification or similar is a plus.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.

  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

  • This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
