Position Overview: We are seeking aSummerIntern with a background in Data Science and Software Engineering to support our team with software development, data annotation, and model evaluation. The ideal candidate will have experience with programming languages, a strong foundation in computer science concepts, and an interest in machine learning. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities: Software Engineering:Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Data Annotation:Assist with classifying and annotating manufacturing defects for subsequent model training. Model Evaluation:Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and suggest improvements. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and learn from experienced professionals. Required Qualifications: Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Technical Skills: Comfortable with JavaScript, C#, or other programming languages. Comfortable with developing interactive user interfaces. Familiar with machine learning concepts and model evaluation techniques (e.g., accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score). Experience with image annotation is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently on tasks while being comfortable seeking guidance when needed. Be mindful of customer requirements and the end-user experience. The Summer Intern hourly range for this role is $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
