Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Bloomington, Minnesota

Description

Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Manager with strong tax background. The following skill set would be ideal:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting.

  • 3+ years of experience with supervisory responsibilities.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

  • Experience with Financial Accounting; Project Accounting; AP; AR; Fixed Asset and Lease Management; Inventory Accounting.

  • Experience with Sales and Use Tax reporting; Corporate Tax reporting; 1099 Tax reporting.

  • Experience working with corporate senior management possessing a respected competence in all things financial.

  • Team/Project leadership experience.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; managerial skills; organizational skill to identify priorities and meet deadlines; and computer skills in identifying flow of transactions.

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency in SAP.

Requirements • Applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management is required

• Proficiency in SAP software is necessary for this role

• Demonstrated knowledge of income tax accounting is essential

• Experience with sales and use tax is required

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial

• The ability to work collaboratively with a team is essential

• Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly scientific instruments, is preferred

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required

• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards is necessary.
