Overview
The Wave Planner is responsible for making sure that order waving is processed in an efficient and accurate manner. The Wave Planner operates under little to moderate supervision and may be required to deviate or make adjustments to routine problems. The Wave Planner will resolve routine operational issues with basic prior work experience, education, or interpretation of work instructions. The Wave Planner may be required to escalate operational, technical, or process concerns to a team lead.6:00am-2:30pm M-F Onsite.
Responsibilities
• Ensures communication to managers concerning Pickers and Replenishers for wave allocation and replenishment needs.• Ensures daily pick workload tasks are completed by the Pickers.• Ensures tasks are correctly processed by the system.• Troubleshoots orders that fail to wave/pick appropriately.• Works closely with DC management to manage workload based on priority.• Produce and maintain reports as it relates to waves as necessary.• Co-ordinates and manages the release of orders from WMS based on priority and SLA.• Manage the priority of picks and maintain priority of emergency orders and service cut offs.• Ensure communication between management, pickers and replenishment associates.• Ensure communication with all operational stakeholders with regards to waves• Understand, teach and train new technology.• Collaborate with your direct Manager and the Senior Operations Manager to understand the team objectives.• Train and develop any back up wave planners.• Problem solve and escalate if there are issues with waves or the release of waves. Escalate any concerns with product not getting picked.• Ensure proactive intervention of workflow imbalances.• Meets or exceeds expectations and/or rates established by leadership.• Professionally communicates via email, phone and chat with peers and leadership.• Providing thoughts, comments, and positive discussion as an area representative in CI projects. Provides planner level thoughts on the current process and proposed changes. Ability to lead appropriate level projects.• Participates in local and/or global projects where planner feedback is relevant.• Using knowledge within role to identify and propose solutions proactively.• Support and apply changes. Understands how the change applies to their role and be able to follow as needed.• Work well with peers in a team environment to support departmental goals.• Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.• Actively participates in department meetings, providing new ideas to leadership, or submitting an idea through the local PMO process.• Perform work in compliance with local quality procedures and work instructions.• Identify and communicate discrepancies in QMS policies/instructions.• Identify and submit Nonconformance/Up Available Secure Compliant issues.• Strictly adhere to safety requirements.• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma or participating in a Cook sponsored program to obtain a High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma.• Requires 1-2 years of related experience.• Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel capabilities• Local or standard WMS system knowledge required.• Must be able to complete onsite 6S training and receive certification.
