Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance and repairs operations through associates and/or facilities contractors and vendors while providing a high level of customer service that is focused on cost containment. Recommend capital expenditure projects to include, preparing and maintaining a multi-year outlook plan and cost forecasting reports.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Supervise the repairs and maintenance process (i.e., scheduling, outsourcing, etc.), as required and for emergency repairs.

  • Supervise associates' facilities contractors and/or vendors to ensure timeliness, quality and the best available cost performance of facilities and maintenance projects while ensuring equipment availability.

  • Oversee maintenance and replacement of fleet vehicles as necessary.

  • Monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvements where necessary.

  • Coach and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for performing the prequalification process and maintaining a list of qualified facilities maintenance contractors and vendors, providing schedules and cost forecasting reports, assigning work and distributing the facilities department workload accordingly.

  • Oversee time keeping process for assigned maintenance technicians.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

  • Recommend and oversee capital expenditure projects; prepare and maintain a multi-year outlook plan and maintain cost forecasting reports.

  • Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Associates degree (Required) in Facilities Maintenance, Refrigeration, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Two years supervisory/management experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of facilities management.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, project and time management skills, ability to delegate, ability to analyze financial reports and monitor budget.

  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and procurement principles, Conducting needs assessments.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures, environment and building codes requirements, etc.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% including overnight.

While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a retail environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
