HVAC Technician

Job Description

This individual will report to the Refrigeration Shop to perform planned maintenance, repair, and other projects on owned properties. Works independently or as part of a team, including other trades. Performs work on commercial and residential HVAC systems and various refrigeration equipment.

Shift:

• M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm - can be expected to rotate on call if needed.

Pay Rate:

• $29 - $36/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces chillers, central air systems, window air conditioners, chillers, and refrigeration equipment.

• Adjusts or replaces worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassembles repaired systems.

• Dismantles malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.

• Works as a team with heat mechanics in maintaining, servicing, and repairing HVAC equipment and boiler equipment including water treatment.

• Services, repairs, and rebuilds pumps and compressors.

Hard Skills

• 2+ Years of Commercial or Industrial HVAC Service/Troubleshooting experience

• EPA Universal or EPA 608 Certification
