BURN MANUFACTURING Factory Manager - Malawi in Blantyre, Malawi
About the role
BURN is looking for a Factory Manager who will work closely with various management teams to ensure efficient business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency
Manage factory production staff, local engineering/technicians, and factory maintenance
Facilitate organisation oversight (matrix organisation) for local Human Resources, IT, and Finance departments
Help, the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
Manage budgets and forecasts
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
Manage Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
Skills and Experience
A Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of organizational effectiveness, process optimization, and operations management principles.
Strong understanding of business and financial principles, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
Experience in strategic planning and execution, including setting goals, tracking performance, and implementing improvement initiatives.
