Job Title: Vac Truck Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Vac Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves operating vacuum trucks to clean storm drains, industrial tanks, and other facilities. The trucks are semis with 2500-gallon tanks that function similarly to a shop vac. The operator is responsible for performing daily inspections of fluids, belts, and hoses, driving the truck to job sites, setting up and monitoring the vacuum hoses, and ensuring the safe disposal of collected waste. The job requires working at heights up to 100 feet on fully guarded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the vacuum truck's fluids, belts, and hoses.

• Drive the vacuum truck to job sites and set up vacuum hoses.

• Monitor the vacuum operation during cleaning tasks.

• Break down and store hoses after the job is completed.

• Dispose of collected waste safely.

• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

• Sweep and clean up spills on the floor level.

• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of consistent general labor work history.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable working at heights up to 100 feet.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have steel toe boots.

Work Environment

This role involves working both indoors and outdoors. The indoor environment is not climate controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will also spend approximately 20% of your time working outdoors. The schedule consists of 4 10-hour shifts from either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with the option to work on your off days if desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blair, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
