Job Title: Vac Truck Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Vac Truck Operator to perform a variety of tasks including vacuuming water from storm drains and cleaning industrial tanks using vacuum trucks. These trucks are semis with 2500-gallon tanks and operate similarly to a shop vac. The role involves conducting daily inspections of the truck's fluids, belts, and hoses, driving the truck to job locations, setting up and monitoring the vacuum system, and handling waste disposal.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of the truck's fluids, belts, and hoses.

  • Drive the vacuum truck to job sites.

  • Set up and monitor the vacuum system from the truck to the cleaning site.

  • Break down and store hoses after job completion.

  • Dispose of collected waste by vacuuming from holding tanks.

  • Lift up to 50 pounds as required.

  • Sweep and clean up spills on floor level.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of consistent general labor work history.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable working at heights up to 100 feet on fully guarded platforms.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor, production, industrial work, sweeping, farm hand, or farm work.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will also be working outdoors 20% of the time. Steel toe boots are required for this position. Shift schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blair, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
