Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will perform mechanical assemblies to build various lawn care equipment such as aerators and blowers. The equipment is primarily used on golf courses. You will use hand and power tools, including power drills, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and various basic hand tools for assembly, working off blueprints. Assemblies may involve working independently on subassemblies or in two-person teams on full assemblies.

Hours: 6am - 430pm, Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assemblies to build lawn care equipment

• Use hand and power tools such as power drills, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and basic hand tools

• Work off blueprints to complete assemblies

• Complete full assembly of products from start to finish

• Depending on the assembly department, could be making 15 units daily or 1 unit every 2-3 days

Essential Skills

• Hand and power tool experience (6+ months)

• 1+ year of hands-on mechanical assembly experience

• Ability to interpret blueprints

• Excellent attendance with no more than 1 day missed per month

• Good attitude and effort

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preference for individuals who enjoy working on their cars or have experience as a lube/auto tech (work/hobby)

Work Environment

The work environment is a fairly laid-back, medium-sized shop that is climate controlled and not noisy. Quick turnaround times may lead to varying levels of urgency. The shop is filled with products, but there is ample room to work. You may work alone or with a partner to complete assemblies. During training, you will have a trainer with you. The first shift is from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional work on Fridays until 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The supervisor is mellow, but the owner expects employees to stay focused and not use their cell phones while working.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
