What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.

  • Perform Service/Installation of Access Control, CCTV, intrusion, alarm, and other fire or security-related systems, including being able to refer to technical guidelines and bulletins.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs as necessary.

  • Perform system adds, upgrades, and computer software programming.

  • Prepare written diagnosis information to provide support for compliance and possible quote.

  • Read and understand technical drawings, and assigned service documentation for work orders including the scope of working the determination for additional information.

  • Specialize in installing and servicing Large and Medium Security systems such as: Card Access Control, IP Video, CCTV, Perimeter Protection, Visitor Management, and Video Analytics.

What You’ll Need

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.

  • Our technical needs include people trained (or experienced) in electronics and low voltage systems, with mechanical skills for installing, terminating, and programming panels and devices.

  • Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.

  • Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.

  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).

  • Frequent visits to job sites are required. Minimal overnight travel is required. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements:

Education: High Schoo/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

  • Training in Networks is a plus

  • Experience with: Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, C*Cure, AMAG, Verint, and similar product lines is a plus.
