Responsibilities

St.Alexius CHI is looking for a Full Time Coordinator to join the Nuclear Medicine team!

The Coordinator will aide in the quality activities in the department. Nuclear Medicine requires a great deal of quality testing and record keeping for the state. The Coordinator acts as an aide for all radiation safety concerns and to help keep all documentation of radiation events throughout the hospital.This will consist of all quality reporting required bythe hospital for governmental, regulatory and accreditation purposes.

What You'll Do:

  • Instruct personnel in the performance of nuclear medicine imaging procedures. Ensure that all equipment is working properly

  • Interact with staff, patients, and guests in apolite, responsive manner at all times to ensure quality care is being provided. Scope of care will range fromadults to pediatrics

  • Maintain adequate supplies of stock items and radiopharmaceuticals so as to provide uninterrupted patient care

  • Document and review incidents andreport them to the Medical Director and Manager at each occurrence

  • Coordinate all quality assurance activities within the department to optimize the quality and efficiency of the department's staff and the service provided to our customers

  • Develop and maintain all quality records required in the department for governmental, regulatory and accreditation purposes. Maintain all policy and procedure manuals, updating and reviewing these procedures as required

  • Maintain all required records of employee participation in required activities for safety, security and confidentiality

  • Develop and maintain a training program for new and current employees to assure proper training of all procedures performed

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine, Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Licensure: Pursuing registry through American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and or CNMT. ND state NDMIRT licensure

Certification: Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets recertification as required.
