WTW Technical and Wordings Manager - Remote in Birmingham, United Kingdom

An exciting and rewarding role has arisen within our Networks Division for an experienced insurance technician to be our Technical and Wordings Manager. Reporting to the Network Services Director, you will work closely with our Network Members, Insurers, Third Party Partners and WTW colleagues to provide technical support and guidance to Network Members around policy wordings and claims, deliver technical training and assist with the development of Network facilities.

WTW’s Networks Division was formed in 1999 and has grown to be one of the largest and most progressive networks in the UK and Ireland, with over 60 Network Members, with a strong reputation for professionalism and quality

The Network offers enhanced access to and trading with Insurer markets, a gateway to the expertise, exclusive products and scale and leverage of the WTW Group, a training academy for Network Members’ staff, support in areas such as marketing and compliance and focused one-to-one expertise to assist Network Members in defining and achieving their strategic goals. The Network works closely with a defined panel of insurers.

Your Role

• You will educate Network Member staff on technical insurance topics, creating and delivering training through the WTW Networks Business School

• You will have an in-depth understanding of developments in the insurance market and the impact these have on Network Members and their Clients

• You will help Network Members understand the benefits of Network Solutions to assist them with providing the best solutions to their clients and in turn helping them grow their businesses.

• You will work with our Placement Board to provide technical input in relation to Network Products and Facilities.

• You will provide bespoke technical support to individual Network Members giving them guidance on wordings queries and assisting with technical claims issues, liaising with insurers and relevant Third Party firms where required.

Requirements:

• You will need to demonstrate an advanced technical insurance knowledge of products and wordings across a broad range of Commercial Insurance Products.

• Ideally you will be qualified to ACII level or be progressing towards it.

• You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and the capability to deliver training in an engaging way

• You will have good influencing skills, using informed persuasion to influence at all levels, creating “win-win” outcomes

• You will be able to demonstrate good planning, organisational and time management skills

• You will need to be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task to ensure we are always providing a first-class service to our Network Members

• You will be very well supported in a wider team environment but will need to be able to work independently and manage your time effectively, whilst also working collaboratively with others.
