Here’s what you’ll do:

As Senior Risk Management Consultant you will provide leadership in risk management throughout the delivery of projects, ensuring that any risk management processes are in place and being complied with.

You will be required to have 3+ years experience in risk management, with at least 2 years experience of risk management activities on high value projects.

Further demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following is desirable:

  • Designing and implementing risk management frameworks;

  • Overseeing risk and opportunity management in major project or programme environments to enable achievement of project goals and objectives;

  • Knowledge of risk management principles, methods, techniques, systems and toolkits;

  • Risk modelling, qualitative risk assessments, quantitative risk management;

  • Facilitating collaboration with project stakeholder to ensure consistency and transparency in approach and data;

  • Facilitating and driving the delivery of risk workshops;

  • The design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the defense, engineering or construction sectors;

  • Dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across an organisation, influencing the improvement of processes and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.

  • Relies on advanced knowledge, within the scope of the position and often handles moderately complex tasks.

  • May review work of other employees and resolve any identified issues unilaterally or with the assistance of a Manager.

  • Advises and participates in the planning, development of strategy and policy related to discipline.

  • Works under limited supervision or general direction.

  • May carry out and provide reporting for special projects with limited supervision.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Required to have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject e.g., engineering, project management, risk management cost and commercial management etc.

  • Fully proficient in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies; Able to conduct Quantitative risk analysis both QSRA and QCRA

  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to create a collaborative culture across the project team;

  • Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service delivery;

  • Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues;

  • Excellent stakeholder negotiation and management skills;

  • Strong team leadership skills with an ability to influence to drive effective design decision making;

  • Ability to step back from the detail and take a holistic overview;

  • Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and deliver consistent service;

  • High level of attention to detail;

  • Ability to manage client expectations and deliver within agreed parameters;

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
