WSP USA Project Manager in Birmingham, United Kingdom

As a Project Manager you will be assisting Senior colleagues on key projects with varied levels of complexity on behalf of and in support of Rolls Royce. You will be based in Birmingham at the WSP Mailbox office and at the client’s project location in Derby according to the need of the project at any given time. You will have hands-on experience of working with client teams in a collaborative and integrated manner.

Duties would include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Senior Project Manager in the development of project specific briefs.

  • In line with project specific briefs, provide support in establishing robust processes and procedures and project documentation such as programmes, project reports, change control and the like to manage the project, in consultation and engagement with the Client, and project team.

  • Reporting to the Senior Project Manager to ensure key parameters of Performance Cost and Time are measured, reported against and action taken to mitigate deficiencies.

  • You will be assisting the Senior Project Manager, with ongoing support as part of your career development, and taking on responsibility for the successful planning and execution of projects and programmes within the Built Environment.

  • Reporting and assisting the Senior Project Manager on progress, change, risk, and cost throughout each stage of any project.

  • Supporting the interfaces between project and client teams.

  • Attending and participating in all project meetings. Taking and issuing meeting minutes as required.

  • All other duties as deemed necessary.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Demonstrable capability & experience in Project Management and Project Controls.

  • Want to grow and develop your Project Management career within a Global Business

  • Have a proven Project Management background within a Consultancy environment, working as part of a project team and/or leading your own projects.

  • Can demonstrate your ability to coordinate and manage teams to consistently deliver projects.

  • Are passionate about construction, innovation and industry best practice initiatives.

  • Working towards a member of a professional institution (such as MAPM).

  • Hold a relevant degree, or similar higher education qualification.
