The Mondelēz International Global Chocolate design team has a very exciting opportunity for young and enthusiastic Industrial / product Designer, to collaborate in the creation of innovative products for the global market.

The industrial / Product Design role is based in Bournville, the heart of Chocolate creativity for Mondelez International.

We create and develop exciting new consumer experiences for global chocolate brands such as Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, etc., as well as design research programs that deliver great consumer and product knowledge.

You should be passionate about all things creative, be consumer centric, and be excited about joining a Global Design Team.

You will be required to be proactive self-starter, be able to manage your own projects and contribute to raise the standard of creativity within our team & Mondelez constantly.

How you will contribute

This role is an essential part of the Design team that supports the Global Chocolate R&D creative team in Bournville. The selected candidate will be a key player in the realisation of the design vision of the team that inspires and drives the global chocolate market.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated

  • Show the ability to take initial direction and oversee aspects of a project interacting with cross-functional creative teams.

  • Have a can–do attitude, a proactive approach to project management and be able to collaborate with the other members of the global design team & cross functional teams / colleagues

  • Be able to communicate efficiently through great sketch work and three-dimensional thinking

  • Be familiar with 3D CAD modelling packages (SolidWorks, Rhino, free form) and be well versed in the Adobe creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Be able to multi – task and have a strong commitment to meet deadlines. The busy nature of this role means good time management and organisational skills will be key

  • Be able to demonstrate a coherent thought process and approach to design

  • Show the ability to take initial direction and oversee aspects of a project interacting with cross-functional creative teams.

  • To demonstrate a high standard of creative thinking and produce ideas to deliver great product experiences suitable for mass production

  • To work as an active member of the design team by contributing to the delivery of global projects. You will be supporting and producing design ideas from the concept generation stage through to completion

  • To be responsible for your own projects ensuring the completion of creative work to meet project time frames

  • To work within a fast-paced creative team and be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously

  • Constantly build relationships and collaborate with other functions of the company including external suppliers to ensure high quality creative work aligned to the business strategy
