IOT implementation is enabling digitisation of our machine data so that we can see performance in real time to improve efficiency and productivity through eliminating losses. This includes developing and executing a technical strategy, enabling data collection and processing, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and providing guidance to the team to ensure project success.
IOT is part of the Industrial Internet of things and also performs as the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for Mondelez
How you will contribute
You will:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy for the MES implementation
Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and project timelines.
Responsible for effective data enablement on the lines
Coordinate seamless integration of the MES platform with existing systems and devices with internal and external stakeholders
Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions to project progress.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, configurations, and procedures.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Site Security and Automation Lead.
Develop and implement a plan to retire plant legacy systems.
Lead development and deployment of PLC code to provide data to an OPC server as part of an MDLZ-developed MES solution
Major Challenges
- Data enablement and harmonization with existing line processes. Legacy system retirement.
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
Practical experience with programming (PLC, HMI, SCADA,…)
Knowledge of PLC automation standards: Rockwell, Siemens
Proven experience in leading technical teams and driving successful implementation of complex technical projects
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
Experience in the field of Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) data collection knowledge
