Sr. Human Resources Business Partner

Are you looking for a remote role that will showcase your strong skills in employee relations, employee development, performance management, workforce planning, recruiting, and training? Advance Local, one of the largest media groups in the United States, is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to join an agile Human Resources team, while partnering with designated business groups to align Human Resources programs with business objectives, needs and activities.

In this position, as Sr. Human Resources Business Partner, you will:

  • Partner with leaders within our Auto group, an industry leader in software, digital marketing and data science, by managing, implementing, and communicating HR initiatives (such as Performance Management, Employee Development, Onboarding, or Mentorship programs), to help achieve business goals.

  • Identify and mediate employee relations issues for resolution, appropriately raising issues for additional guidance.

  • Lead recruitment efforts for your group, initiating the recruiting process from job description to job posting to fair and equitable compensation assessment. Ensure the progress of candidates through the interview process to offer and hire.

  • Conduct training within the group to support employee programs.

  • Actively participate on one or more Human Resources centers of excellence teams to create, execute and/or hone employee programs, policies, and/or processes, which support employee programs.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of 7 years Human Resources experience, with 2 years management experience

  • Professional HR certification preferred

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations

  • Experience implementing HR strategy and initiatives in alignment with business strategy

  • Ability to understand the business and communicate in terms of business results

  • Experience in recognizing and handling and/or appropriately escalating employee relations issues

  • Ability to develop trusted partnerships with a network of stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
