Deloitte Senior Marketing Specialist in Birmingham, Alabama

Work you'll do

The Industry Marketing Specialist will support the Government and Public Services (GPS) industry practice and have responsibility for special projects across our portfolio of business. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the GPS marketing team to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, deliver innovative content marketing strategies, and report marketing's contributions to GPS leadership. This role will report to a GPS Marketing Manager or Senior Manager. Specific areas of focus include:

  • Content/Thought Leadership marketing: Develop and execute content marketing campaigns to promote Insights published through the Deloitte Center for Government Insights - campaign elements include emails, social media, and internal communications

  • Event Production and Management: Assist in strategy and execution of industry events - in-person, hybrid and virtual - including sponsorship management, project management, event design and set up, invite and registration management

  • Social Media: Creation and implementation of full social media plans for campaigns and build awareness of Deloitte's GPS practice in the market

  • Digital/Website: Coordinate and manage updates for Deloitte's external website to help generate page visits and drive engagement of featured content

  • Project Management and Campaign Activation: Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of GPS integrated marketing campaigns

  • Writing: Comfort with drafting different types of content including, but not limited to, ad copy, email marketing, web copy, social copy, and marketing collateral

  • Content Development: Assist in the developing and editing content and collateral material and refreshing website content for consistent messaging and clear voice

  • Impact Reporting: Gathers ROI data for use in executive-level reports, focusing on data storytelling, including how the data will inform future campaigns and tactics, and the overall impact of marketing on GPS growth and brand positioning

  • Presentation Skills: Preparing and presenting campaign plans/results to managers and stakeholders

  • Budget Management: Plan and manage marketing budgets for campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing or Communications preferred)

  • 6+ year of post-college marketing and communications career experience

  • Experience with marketing tech and innovation to drive and enhance campaign deliverables

  • Experience with content marketing techniques; audience segmentation, SEO, personas

  • Marketing & Communications Fundamentals: Experienced understanding of marketing and communications basics to drive business goals

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Excellent spoken, written communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.

  • Ability to work in a multi-layered matrix organization serving many leaders.

  • Must be legally authorized to working in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working within the government professional services market

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Organized with ability to prioritize and manage client expectations across multiple, competing projects/priorities with aggressive due dates and quick turn-around times

  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team

  • Proficiency in MS Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,800 to $133,900

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
