Basic Job Functions:

The D365 EDI Business Analyst plays a crucial role in our company, being responsible for the continuous maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of the existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 system, emphasizing our e-commerce EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) solutions. This role is pivotal in contributing to the seamless functioning of our e-commerce operations, ensuring a top-notch customer experience, and supporting business growth.

Ability to work or travel on an as needed basis, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Assist in designing, documenting, and maintaining MS D365 EDI and VMI system processes. Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 finance and operations. Monitor the health and performance of the D365 EDI and VMI systems. Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and disruptions. Collaborate with trading partners, internal teams, and vendors to implement, configure, and maintain EDI solutions. Develop and maintain EDI maps or translations that define data transformations between internal formats and standard EDI formats. Integrate EDI systems with existing business applications such as ERP, CRM, and WMS systems. Provide timely technical support to troubleshoot and address user-reported issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors as needed. Provide responsive support to internal technical teams and partners, addressing inquiries and resolving problems effectively. Leverage D365 components such as Commerce, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to support EDI and VMI processes. Document and track reported issues, their resolution steps, and outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, and IT personnel, to address technical and functional needs. Identify opportunities to enhance the performance and efficiency of the D365 solution. Propose and implement optimizations to improve system usability and user experience. Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision and solutions in the form of process design, software products, customizations, and integrations to meet those needs. Provide current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional design documents. Manage a projects scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment from start to finish. Report on technical issues and questions; make recommendations to IT supervisor and related users. Perform quality assurance activities. Manage process change requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.

  • Minimum five (5) years as a Business Analyst, Solutions or Technical Architect or Technical Consultant

  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus

  • Experience with EDI standards and formats (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and their implementation. Proficiency in EDI mapping and translation tools.

  • Experience with e-commerce operations, processes, and best practices. Familiarity with integration techniques, APIs, and data synchronization between systems

  • Possess both functional and technical expertise

  • Business analysis and process engineering skills a plus

  • Experience reviewing business needs, researching potential solutions, and providing solid process and technical recommendations

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills

  • Ability to communicate technical aspects to non-technical shareholders.

  • Strong customer relationship skills

  • High level of initiative and accountability for deliverables and deadlines

  • Proficiency in D365 customization tools such as Power Platform, Power Automate, and Power Apps is a plus

  • Ability to work or travel on an as needed basis, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working in core logistical and manufacturing business processes such as Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Material and Resource Scheduling/Planning, Production Routing, Bill of Material Costing, and Shop Floor

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency.

  • Leadership aptitude.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management.
