Job Description:

At Regions, the Consumer Strategic Analytics and Insights Manager utilizes business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, customer information, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to develop analytical tools, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making. This role drives strategy by presenting data-driven insights to executive and non-technical audiences.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develops performance management vision and approach, structuring analyses and building narratives from data, managing stakeholders, leading project delivery, and preparing clear, concise, and compelling executive-level presentations

• Applies strategic thinking and a hypothesis-based approach to frame complex questions as analytical problems and provide meaningful insights

• Leads the development of architecture, implementation, and roll-out strategy for advanced self-service capabilities against an evolving data lake platform

• Directs analytics team in the delivery of business-critical research and analysis

• Develops strategy for identifying best practices and optimizing operations and sales performance

• Manages the modification and transformation of highly complex data into a valuable, readable, and presentable format

• Leads and executes cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to discover insights that will drive strategic decisions and efficiencies

• Creates complex, informational presentations for various audiences including executives, senior and mid-level managers, and associates

• Manages the design and delivery of complex reports analyzing business functions, key operational and performance metrics, and trends impacting Regions to determine appropriate actions

• Proactively monitors trends in the industry and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This is a single incumbent position.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and eight (8) years of experience in data analytics or related field

• Or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in data analytics or related field

• Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience

• Experience leading teams responsible for creating robust modeling and dashboard-style reporting to facilitate executive-level decision making

Preferences

• Experience with operational risk scenario analysis

• Experience utilizing applicable analytical software (e.g. Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), and SAS Enterprise Miner)

• Advanced knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$242,080.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
