The Job:
As a Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager) , you will join the Hand Tools, Accessories, and Storage team at Compass II, a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker in Vietnam. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the plant's strategic team to drive business goals while adhering to company standards. Your responsibilities will include closely coordinating with different stakeholders around the world to ensure the successful delivery of Total Quality Management (TQM) to the plant.
You will be working in VSIP 1, Binh Duong and total working hours is 48 hours weekly, from Mon – Fri.

Direct report to Quality Director, South Asia
Dotted report to Plant Manager
You’ll get to:
Quality Requirements and Documentation
Identify and implement quality requirements within the plant.
Develop and maintain a document control system, including compliance with ISO standards.
Supplier and Customer Coordination
Review and approve PPAP documents from suppliers, including characteristic lists, drawings, process flow charts, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, material reports, and packing standards.
Coordinate the submission of PPAP approvals for new products and communicate customer requirements for engineering samples and PPAP with internal teams.
Supplier Performance and Improvement
- Conduct monthly evaluations of supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement, training, and development as part of the supplier allocation plan.
Quality Control and Assurance
Establish and enforce strict quality control procedures for all laboratory operations.
Review and evaluate laboratory results and reports.
Develop and implement effective quality assurance and control processes to continuously improve product and process quality.
Evaluate the effectiveness of quality control activities.
Training and Development
- Develop and deliver quality training programs for all employees to enhance competencies, skills, and awareness in quality assurance.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with relevant department heads to identify solutions and mitigate issues.
Work with the manufacturing team to deliver PQP/PcX projects and achieve targets.
The Person:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial, Material engineering or related field of study.
Experience: 10 years of working experience in QA field with minimum 5 years in managerial role.
Skills / Personalities:
Knowledge and experience in Total Quality Management (TQM).
Proficiency in data analysis for interpreting trends and making informed decisions.
Skilled in quality problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma.
ASQ certification is preferred.
Capable and willing to lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce the cost of poor quality.
Capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
Keen sense of responsibility and integrity.
Strong awareness of the Code of Conduct.
