Broome County Security Security Officer in Binghamton, New York
Security Officer - The work involves performing routine tasks pertaining to the safety of individuals and the security of county property within an assigned area. The incumbent has responsibility for inspecting property in order to detect security hazards, deter criminal activity be being visible and observant and to detect maintenance problems and/or equipment failure. The work is performed under direct supervision of a security supervisor. Incumbents may be assigned to county facilities, county parks, or at special county events. Does related work as required.
Major Skills -
Ability to communicate Orally and in writing.
Good Powers of observation and sound judgement.
Ability to deal firmly and tactfully with public.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written direction.
Requirements -
Drug screening.
Psychological exam.
Reference/ Background Check.
