SUNY Broome Community College Organizational and College Culture in Binghamton, New York

Organizational and College Culture Officer - SUNY Broome is seeking candidates for a full-time Organizational and College Culture Officer in Human Resources. This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and Student Finance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administers, oversees, and develops employee policies, procedures, and practices to attract and retain a high-performing and diverse workforce supporting the College's values and strategic goals. Develops, plans, and promotes employee wellness programming. Following applicable law, assesses and analyses the employee population's general physical and mental health needs and offers programming to support these needs. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Personnel, Business or related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience, including academic or administrative responsibilities, is required. Preference is given to persons with previous experience in human resources and/or Title IX in an educational setting. One (1) year of appropriate leadership or supervisory experience is required. Required Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills for working with campus constituencies, community contacts, and regulatory agencies. Ability to establish effective working relationships with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students with differing interests at all levels and to facilitate in sensitive, hostile, and/or emotional situations. Must possess a high degree of discretion, mature judgment, and tactfulness in handling confidential matters and sensitive information when dealing with various individuals. Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions independently in a clear, concise manner. Ability to obtain, weigh, evaluate, and apply relevant information to both specific situations and to general programmatic direction. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously with specific attention to detail while working under minimal supervision. Ability to work both independently and as part of a service-oriented department team environment. Possess strong analytical, computational and interpretative skills with the ability to conduct research, gather, analyze, interpret, and present data in clear and concise reports and recommendations working efficiently and effectively within prescribed deadlines. Working knowledge or ability to become proficient in Banner and Argos systems. Additional Information: The annual salary for this position, depending on experience, starts at $89,429. Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
