Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing equipment and physical structures, electrical systems, and performing general routine maintenance. This includes patching, painting, and general repair work as needed. The role involves performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and maintaining equipment by cleaning, changing oils, and replacing worn parts.
Responsibilities
Install and repair equipment and physical structures.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, painting, and general repairs.
Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Clean, change oils, and replace worn parts on equipment.
Read and interpret service manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Detect defects in equipment and make proper repairs.
Operate and maintain Amada CNC Machinery and Trumpf Laser Cutting Machinery.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Amada CNC Machinery.
Proficiency in Trumpf Laser Cutting Machinery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong mechanical and repair skills.
Experience in preventive maintenance.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Two plus years of experience in building and maintenance work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC machine operation.
Ability to work from sketches, diagrams, and prints.
Knowledge in the care and use of tools and equipment used in trades involved.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, and continuous movement throughout the shift. The ability to lift 0-50 lbs. in the proper ergonomic position is necessary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
