Guthrie Lourdes is hiring a dynamic LPN to work with our Family Residency Program providers at our Robinson Street, Binghamton, NY location. In this position, you will play an important and valuable role in the care of our patients who range from newborns to geriatric patients. You will provide longitudinal primary care services to our diverse patient population as part of our primary care team. Our care team also includes an on-site social worker, community case manager, lab and x-ray services allowing you to care for the whole patient in one location. Guthrie Lourdes places a high priority on caregiver well-being and strives to ensure a supportive and robust training environment. This position is open to both newly licensed and experienced LPNs.

Position Summary: Coordinate and administers internal and external staffing efforts/ initiatives throughout Guthrie Health. Recruiting efforts focused on support, ancillary, and nursing support positions.

Education, License & Cert: The LPN must be currently licensed by the New York State Board of Nursing. In addition, the LPN must meet EHO educational requirements during employment. The LPN must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Essential Functions: 1. Ability to multi‐task and prioritize work in accordance with changing deadlines. Including the ability to overcome objectives and manage projects to a close. 2. Develops and implements a recruitment strategy (local or national) for vacant position(s). Recruitment strategies to include advertising, web postings, job fair attendance, etc. 3. Maintain understanding of current wage scales and benefit materials applicable throughout the Guthrie System. Use of information to appropriately assess the staffing process and maintain complete understanding of positions available throughout Guthrie Health. 4. Recommend changes and revisions to any policies that affect the recruitment process. 5. Assess personnel files and pull relevant information to assist in the internal selection process for internal bidding. Work with department managers and supervisors to arrange for their access to files in the staffing process. 6. Actively involve other areas of Human Resources when necessary to ensure quality services are provided to employees, managers, and administrators. 7. Assist in activities associates with external and internal recruitment process. This should include: obtaining proper authorization for external recruitment coordinating and developing any advertising required, reviewing resumes/applications and preforming pre‐screened interviews, reviewing wage and salary as well as benefit information with candidates, coordinating the interview process with department managers, providing as necessary guidance in the selection process, completion of action forms, job postings, receiving and accepting job bids, making formal employment offers, coordinating all pre‐placement activities prior to the first day of work. 8. Focus on continuous quality customer services forging a collaborative partnership with operational customers. 9. Maintain thorough understanding of the requirements associated with each vacant position being filled. Screen internal and external candidates to ensure they meet the minimum requirements of jobs posted. 10. Keep abreast of changes in recruitment activity throughout Guthrie Health including maintaining a current understanding of legal issues surrounding the hiring process and other related areas.

Other Duties: 1. Travel for this position is sometimes required. 2. Participation in community and employee engagement activities is required. 3. Hourly rate of pay: $21.00/hour - $32.41/hour depending on experience
