Play your part in our team succeeding

This segment of the Digital Technology organization is known as the Product Engineering Technology department. It provides solutions and technology for the production and engineering sectors of the LEGO Group, supporting the entire process from the design of LEGO® elements to the creation of finished LEGO® bricks.

The team in focus was established six months ago to support the Research and Development (R&D) areas for our molding machines. Our goal is to enhance the process of molding or innovate new ways to use molds, for instance, by connecting machines and data to gain better insights. You will work with concepts in collaboration with our R&D department, refining them for use on the shop floor in larger contexts while ensuring maintainable and secure setups. Your role will involve building a robust infrastructure that enables our R&D teams to excel, allowing them to focus on their core tasks without worrying about the underlying technology.

Do you have what it takes?

We are seeking an exceptional software engineer, with the right attitude and capabilities to support an R&D organization. The seniority of the role is up for discussion and will be adapted to the right candidate’s experience.

This role will involve creating disposable prototypes and at other times requires developing the flawless architecture for scalability. Ideally you have:

  • Experience in writing modular code that is easy to test, deploy, and maintain, preferably in .NET.

  • Proven readiness for change and a preference for a flexible, inspiring environment that values diversity.

  • Expertise in developing software solutions that align with product vision and optimize daily operations, supporting the existing landscape.

  • Proficiency in building secure IT solutions using loosely coupled, event-driven asynchronous API architecture, adhering to Domain-Driven Design principles.

  • Experience in implementing cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code principles.

  • No fear of bridging the gap between the software world and the physical world.

It would be an advantage if you know about:

  • React development.

  • Knowledge about equipment interaction protocols, such as OPC-UA

  • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and continuous delivery environments.

  • Experience in writing tests (unit/functional).

  • Strong cultural competence with a proven track record to collaborate effectively with international teams.

  • Possesses a mentoring and coaching attitude, actively sharing knowledge within interpersonal communities.
