Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for complex initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered in line with strategicobjectivesand expectations from partners.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Merlin Partnership, the wider LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments to ensure seamless integration and execution of project deliverables.

  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Manage project progression, proactivelyidentifyingand addressing challenges tomaintainmomentum and ensure successful outcomes.

  • Balance the use of agile and waterfall project management methodologies tooptimizeefficiency and adaptability in project execution.

  • Uphold responsibility for the quality delivery of projects, serving as a key figure in managing complexity and ensuring project excellence.

  • Establishandrun project planning and prioritization for key areas of the business, ensuring balance betweenresources and demand.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and team engagement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and practices in project management to continually enhance the capabilities of the Merlin Partnership Team.

In this role,you’llbe a key driver of success within the Merlin Partnership Team, leading complex, high-impact projects from conception to delivery. This position requires a highly skilled professional adept at managing multifaceted projects across Experience Design, Retail, Brand, Marketing, and Digital. As the Senior Project Manager,you’llensure projects are driven efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with partners across the Merlin Partnership team, the broader LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments.You’llreport directly to the Head of Business Transformation.

Do you have what it takes?

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly within the entertainment, retail, ormarketingsectors.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with a proventrack recordof managing large-scale and complex projects.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Familiarity with both agile and waterfall project management methodologies and tools.

Skills:

  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and a strategic approach, with a focus on delivering results.

  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion ina timelyand efficient manner.

  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex ideas and engaging with partners at all levels.

  • Proficiencyin project & portfolio management processes and tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

Please note: This is a permanent position based in Billund, Denmark. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office).
