Core Responsibilities

As an Additive Manufacturing Engineer you will be developing build jobs based on designs from our different customers across the LEGO Group. Part of your job will be to strengthen the DfAM capabilities in the organization. Moreover, you will:

  • Collaborate with customers/designers of equipment to improve part printability and cleanability

  • Actively identify new applications with both existing and new customers

  • Facilitate continuous development of Design for AM capabilities in The LEGO Group

  • Supporting the continued development of the Equipment Development team

  • Secure efficient workflows and processes within the team

Based in our office in Billund, you will join our Additive Design & Manufacturing Equipment Development team. Together with colleagues and internal customers our focus is to ensure delivery of the selected equipment within the right quality, requirements and lead-time.

We work across 3 different technologies divided between polymer and metal all of which we are constantly pushing the limits for to deliver efficiency in our supply chain and to drive the AM industry and its technologies towards true large scale manufacturing!

We are part of a bigger and diverse team focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials, and applications. We are focusing on both metal and polymer AM production for different applications and with different partners.

Do you have what it takes?

You have a few years' experience with AM or perhaps recently graduated. Most importantly you are curious and have a desire to learn more and soak up all the new information that comes your way, just as you will need to have the ability to adapt to new situations with ease.

You have flair for innovation, development, and out of the box thinking. Likewise, you are a team-player with good communication skills that enable you to build positive relationships, and to convey a clear message to those around you. In addition, you have:

  • Strong CAD skills (Siemens NX being an advantage)

  • Analytical skills in analyzing and understanding data

  • Experience with Build Preparation Software such as Materialise Magics

  • Knowledge in metal and/or polymer AM technologies

  • Proficiency in English both verbally and written
