Work the same schedule as the kids (Weekends, Summers, Major Holidays off!). Join the Billings Public Schools team assisting Special Needs students during their bus rides to and from school! Duties: - Assist in providing safe bus transportation for students with special needs. - Perform physical duties such as managing wheelchairs and special equipment that accompanies students; bending, lifting, pulling. - Perform necessary first aid, CPR, or suctioning to care for any short-term emergency problems. - Handle conflicts or physical situations between students. - Work a split shift and have reliable transportation. Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills and the ability to get along with staff, co-workers, children and parents. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience with students with special needs preferred. - Must be able to work with highly behavioral or medically fragile students. - Pre-employment physicals are required for this position and are paid for by the District. Schedule: Part Time 9-month position. Estimated 4.25 to 6 hours per day (a.m./p.m. split shift - estimated hours from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.) GREAT SCHEDULE!
