Job Title: Cable Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to install CAT5/6 Plenum cable, non-Plenum cable, and fiber optic cable throughout new and existing buildings. The role involves building communication closets using various hand tools, labeling all cables, reading and understanding schematics/blueprints for installation, assembling wall terminals for all wires, and testing all terminals to ensure proper functionality. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time.

Responsibilities

• Install CAT5/6 Plenum cable, non-Plenum cable, and fiber optic cable in new and existing buildings.

• Build communication closets using different hand tools.

• Label all cables accurately.

• Read and understand schematics and blueprints for installation.

• Assemble wall terminals for all wires.

• Test all terminals to ensure they work correctly.

• Lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
