Access Business Analyst SCHEDULING - CLINIC (ROCKY MOUNTAIN PROFESSIONAL BUILDING) req8865Shift: DayEmployment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours (Non-Exempt) Starting Wage DOE: $17.15 - $21.44The Access Business Analyst is a gate keeper who assists in creating, editing and maintaining master templates for physicians, and their work in the hospital and clinic ancillary appointment types and scheduling protocols as requested by physicians and in accordance with overarching principles and guidelines laid out by Billings Clinic. Having a broad knowledge of access and how the work of appointment types and templates connect with other access avenues and initiatives is key to the improvement process, which this role takes a critical part in. Ensuring the changes to a provider schedule are in alignment with things such as but not limited to virtual telehealth visits, online scheduling, and over all improving and simplifying access for patients.Essential Job Functions* Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and department/service.* Creates, builds, edits and maintains master templates within Cerner for Resources, as requested by leadership and in accordance with the overarching principles and guidelines and other access initiatives.* May consult with department leadership and others in determining where to place patients to be rescheduled. Responsible to hold existing schedules and communicates rescheduling needs with appropriate resources that are result of a change to a providers schedule.* Must have a fundamental understanding of all access initiatives and process improvement in the organization and how they work and help one another.* If requested changes are not in alignment, being able to address such concerns with local leaders and escalating concerns through chain of command to ensure things like appointment types and templates keep within the guard rails of the overarching principles and guidelines.* Work with local leadership to ensure that templates are built to meet the contractual obligations of the provider patient contact hours.* May be responsible for manually applying changes that are not included in the automated template roll.* Works with trainers to update & maintain scheduling protocols based on template changes and other departmental leadership requests. The Scheduling team uses these as their guidelines in making appointments.* Communicates the changes to the Scheduling Trainers and possibly the department.* May assist the trainers or others with any questions related to changes and training.* Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.* Identifies needTo view the full job description, click here>
