Eaton Corporation Team Lead Accounting & Controls for Mobility in BielskoBiala, Poland

We are currently looking for a Team Lead Accounting & Controls for Mobility to join our team in Tczew or in Bielsko - Biała.

What you’ll do:

Accounting Team Lead will oversee the financial reporting and accounting operations of our polish legal entities, as well as support continues improvement and best practices across the organization. The role provides financial leadership and responsibility on statutory accounting, audits, operational accounting, income tax and indirect tax accounting and ensures a strong control and compliance environment. This function will closely operate with various corporate functions (Tax, Treasury, Legal, etc.), Global Shared Service Center and Operations.

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, controls and professional growth.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and annual financial statements in compliance with Polish and US GAAP

• Drive the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

• Monitor and ensure compliance to US GAAP, local GAAP, legal regulations an controls framework

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

• Drive end to end standardization and identify standard process deviation, process inefficiency and opportunities for improvement. Derive

• corrective action plan and partner with Operations, SSC and others for implementation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and strategic initiatives.

• Provide insightful analysis and support for decision-making to senior management.

• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, drive company standard processes and process efficiency to optimize financial performance and mitigate risk.

• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, particularly those pertaining to Polish GAAP and drive finance transformation.

• Other ad hoc activities and projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a senior accounting role and leadership experience with a strong understanding of Polish GAAP, US GAAP and SOX

Skills:

  • Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment; strong understanding of Polish GAAP, US GAAP and SOX; excellent working knowledge of the English and Local country language (polish)

  • Proficiency in financial software, SAP or Oracle and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and diverse environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with various levels of management and external stakeholders

  • Ability to deal with a range of issues efficiently and in a timely manner

  • Solution driven, analytical and capable of delivering results

  • Experienced in providing a high standard of customer care

  • Able to work within a large, multi-cultural organisation with international stakeholders

  • Effective communication, evaluation and problem solving skills

  • Strong cross/multi-cultural experience; sensitive to cultural differences

  • Experience in finance transformation projects, process improvement, or change management, is a plus
