Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are looking to add dedicated and efficient Material Handlers to our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective movement of all materials to and from the production department using various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to and from the production department

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and effectively

• Perform daily pre-shift forklift checks, including battery changes

• Inspect and ensure products are properly packaged for shipment

• Consistently lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs

• Properly fill out labels and paperwork

• Verify correct weights and counts of materials

• Construct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartons

• Relieve packers for all breaks

Essential Skills

• Material handling

• Forklift operation

• Experience in production and picking

• Experience with sit-down forklifts, clamp forklifts, and pallet jacks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience

• At least 6 months of forklift experience

• Attention to detail

• Effective time management skills

Work Environment

The work environment includes two shifts: 7am - 7pm (A & B) and 7pm - 7am (C & D), working 15 days a month. More information on temperature and cleanliness will be provided after the tour. Note: No Call No Show (NCNS) results in automatic termination, with 2 call-ins allowed per month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bettendorf, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
