Job Summary

The Manager Operational Technology (OT) Security is responsible for providing cybersecurity oversight, and specialized cybersecurity support across the operational business segments, which includes Transmission and Distribution. This includes taking an active leadership role in determining company-wide cybersecurity technology within the OT environments.

Also the Manager OT Security will be responsible for assisting the CISO in developing, managing, and implementing the OT cybersecurity roadmap for OT environments as part of the PSEG's overall cybersecurity initiative.

He/she is a subject matter expert responsible to secure PSEG's OT systems and environments and the associated networks and communications.

He/she must have an understanding of Security Standards, Industrial Control Systems and underlying principles of networking, infrastructure and system integration.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for recommending, initiating and managing vulnerability and patching programs for OT systems and environments

• Responsible for hardening OT devices in coordination with the OT teams and IT

• Accountable for reporting of the OT cyber risk posture

• Responsible for scheduling and performing OT security testing such as vulnerability

• assessments and social engineering

• Responsible for training and assisting technical staff in cybersecurity techniques and applications

• Accountable for managing vendors who provide OT cybersecurity technical support

• Manage OT security budget and initiatives

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant cyber security experience

• In lieu of a degree 16 years of cyber experience

• Five or more years' experience in Operational Technology security.

• Demonstrated knowledge of information systems including Windows and Linux OS security, communication networks and security software/hardware.

• Experience with key information security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability assessment, encryption, identity and access control systems, anti-malware, and security event analysis.

• Must demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills

• Experience presenting technical and non-technical concepts to all levels of management & executive leadership

• Must demonstrate excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship building, and negotiation skills

• Able to maintain positive working relationships both leading and as part of a team;

• Must have strong time management skills and strong able to multitask effectively;

• Experience providing technical expertise and guidance in the administration of security tools that control and monitor OT security.

Desired Qualifications:

• Industry Security certifications such as SANS, CISSP, etc.

• Experience with the implementation of NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP)

• Previous experience of Information Technology/Operational Technologies and utility industry experience preferred with an awareness of utility specific security threats
