Reference #: 1844074 Technical Customer Service Representative Location: Bethlehem, PA Schedule: Day Shift, Monday - Friday Contract Type: W-2 Pay Rate: $28.84 per hour Position Overview: This Technical Services Representative role is integral to supporting our Field Service Operations, with a focus on ensuring efficient and customer-centric service. The ideal candidate will have a technical or science-related educational background, experience in technical services or customer support, and strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Key Qualifications: Education: Minimum of a Bachelors degree. Experience: At least 2 years in a technical services or customer support role, preferably with experience in biological and industrial microscopes. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce, or other CRM databases is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Data Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze data reports, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, using Excel and other applicable software. Administrative Support: Coordinate non-technical Field Service requirements by working with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC), Regional Service Supervisors, and Senior Manager of Field Service Operations. Order Processing: Manage service quoting, purchase orders, part allocation, task creation, case assignment, and accurate billing to customers. Inventory & Shipping: Confirm part availability, coordinate shipments with field engineers and customers, and monitor backorder statuses to ensure timely fulfillment. Vendor Management: Set up new vendors, prepare commercial invoices, and handle requests in support of field staff. Customer Communication: Maintain external customer communications aligned with company protocols, both verbally and in writing. Project Support: Facilitate the creation of assets and projects, process parts returns, and maintain the customer database. Preferred Skills & Competencies: Analytical Skills: Ability to create tables, graphs, and pivot tables in Excel; intermediate familiarity with formulas is a plus. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, customer-first mindset. Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing and tracking open tasks effectively and maintaining accurate records.
