Automotive Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking an Automotive Electrician to install service equipment on trucks. The role involves installing various components such as plows, salt spreaders, and lights.

Responsibilities

• Install service equipment on trucks, including plows, salt spreaders, and lights.

• Wire up Mack Trucks to install additional equipment like plows, dumps, and salt spreaders.

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks as required.

• Work with 12V DC electrical systems, including wiring, schematics, and low-voltage electronics.

• Handle hydraulics systems installation and maintenance.

• Use hand and power tools for various installation tasks.

• Install and solder electrical harnesses and cabling.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.

• Knowledge of 12V DC electrical systems.

• Experience with hydraulics.

• Fabrication skills.

• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, and 12V DC electrical systems.

• Experience with conduit installation and soldering.

Work Environment

You will be working in a shop that installs equipment such as plows, salt spreaders, and lights onto trucks for various townships and road departments. The shop currently has 6 employees, including 3 technicians and 3 managers. The work involves using hand and power tools, and you will be expected to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
