Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Splunk Systems Engineer. This person will be working side by side with another Splunk Engineer and will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the environment. This person will identify data flows, system thresholds and data sources into glass table requirements to visualize business processes as well as analyzes, evaluate and plan method of approach and organizes means to achieve complex technical problem solutions. You will be heavily involved with making sure the environment is operational and health checks are being administered as necessary. This person will be fully remote but may be required to come into a Maryland office 2-3x a year. This opportunity is offering $120-160k.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience within cloud platforms and architecture

o Primarily in AWS

 3+ years of experience using Splunk ITSI for monitoring and application management

o Installing, configuring, and maintaining

o Building out and reviewing dashboards

 Ability to script in Bash or Python

 Experience working in a Windows and Linux environment

 Experience with Packer, Ansible, Cloud Formation Templates or Terraform

 Ability to obtain a public trust clearance Prior experience working with CMS contracts or healthcare contracts

 Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Azure Resource Management Templates, AWS Cloud Formation Templates, HashiCorp Terraform

 Relevant certifications Splunk, AWS, etc null
