This role is responsible for working with the Senior Director of Hotel Ecosystem, brand teams and design peers to focus on creating designs for Marriott’s 34+ brand sites. These designs will inform the larger hotel ecosystem, help drive consistency in the hotel ecosystem and illustrate brands’ core values. This work ranges from near-term tactical to longer-term strategy with a keen focus on data-driven, best-in- class design. They will drive digital experiences that deliver on both elevating the expression of our property and brand portfolio and emotional engagement to support business outcomes. Partnering closely with fellow user experience leaders, product management and technology colleagues to meet needs across our business, leisure, member and non-member customers.

This position requires deep experience in brand design, the ability to produce design as well as direct designers, including internal associates and contractors/agencies, driving the creative process from concept through execution.

A strong portfolio is critical. Your portfolio should showcase experience in brands, UX and interaction design in digital solutions, particularly highlighting conversion optimization efforts, simplicity and ease-of-use.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in digital product design with demonstrated leadership experience, strong grounding in general usability and transactional design best practices

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience with large-scale brands, websites or global digital apps/digital products

  • Experience leading design in visual identity and brand in a digital space

  • Experience delivering concepts, user journeys, prototypes, etc., across platforms (desktop, mobile web, app, etc.) with inclusivity in mind

  • Thrives working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment

  • Be a thought partner providing recommendations based on research and data for experience enhancements across all digital touchpoints

  • Collaborate with a variety of user experience disciplines within the team (Information Architecture,Design System/Standards, User Research, Copywriting) to advance your work
