General Summary

Responsible for assisting the Director of Environmental Services in administering the EVS program by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout all areas in the healthcare organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain employee work schedule.

  2. Responsible for ensuring employee work schedule is covered with adequate staffing on a daily basis through Managers.

  3. Ensure QC inspections are performed on a daily basis by the Managers and QC on all employees.

  4. Review with QC to analyze trends and opportunities for improvement. Report findings to PM.

  5. Analyze government QA inspections, assuring proper follow-up and Corrective/Preventive Actions.

  6. Ensure that all employees have received adequate orientation training and documentation is in file.

  7. Observe ES Supervisors daily by rounding in their areas – document findings

  8. Assist Supervisors in resolving any potential issues with employees and hospital staff.

  9. Perform job evaluations on Supervisors and submits to Project Manager as required.

  10. Perform public relation rounds on units and establish relationships with key personnel.

  11. Assisting PM develop department goals and drive quality.

  12. Adhere to company mission and vision statement of J&J.

  13. Assisting with maintaining departmental budget with labor, supplies, equipment and any other needs.

  14. Meet with customer at facility as needed to ensure all issues resolved.

  15. Will serve as acting PM, assuming responsibilities in the absence of the PM.

  16. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Effectively lead a team of construction professionals and be the face of the company to the customer.

  • Troubleshoot and navigate through contracting and subcontracting issues.

Work Experience

7 years experience Managing at large acute care hospital setting.

Education, Licenses and Certification

Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Mgmt and Environmental Services

  • RESE (Registered Environmental Services Executive)

  • CESE (Certified Environmental Services Executive)
