Philips Senior Hardware Designer - Gradient Amplifiers in Best, Netherlands

As a Senior Hardware Designer, you will lead the development of cutting-edge MR products, specifically Gradient Amplifiers, for hospital and outpatient radiology facilities. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and manage supplier relationships to transform concepts into production-ready products that meet the high demands of our customers.

Your Role:

  • Impact: Lead the design, integration, and testing of Gradient Amplifiers, ensuring precision and reliability in medical imaging technology.

  • Team and Stakeholders: Work within a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers, as well as manufacturing and service experts. Engage with suppliers and customer support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Supplier Management: Manage the design of Gradient Amplifiers from suppliers. Travel to and collaborate with the design teams of suppliers to ensure the development of Gradient Amplifiers that meet the stringent requirements of our MRI systems.

You're the Right Fit If:

Experience: You hold a PhD or MSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, EMC, physics, optics, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills: Power electronic communication and control, and model-based design and analysis. Familiar with component integration, verification, and document control systems.

Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field and strong technical communication skills in English.

Additional Qualifications: Experience in healthcare or regulated industries, experience in design for reliability (for example green belt certification), proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient wellness and security.
