Philips Experienced Software Developer C++ / GUI, Intravascular Application Software Suite in Best, Netherlands

We are looking for a talented Senior C++ Software Engineer (not embedded) with experience in GUI visualization to contribute to our intravascular imaging and functional measurement application software suite. This role involves working on the entire application development lifecycle, with responsibilities extending beyond GUI development to cover all aspects of the software application suite . At Philips IGT Devices IntraSight R&D we are working on industry leading solutions helping clinicians on deciding, guiding, treating and confirming the right therapy for each patient in real-time during image-guided therapies (IGT). Your role:

  • With your team members take part in proactively de-risking technical designs at an early stage, showcasing them through early prototypes (Advanced Development) and in finalizing these critical clinical applications and ushering them to market (PDLM).

  • Create meticulously crafted, high-quality software designs that adhere to stringent medical device compliance standards. Your active participation in Agile/scrum ceremonies will be pivotal, driving continuous improvement initiatives and shaping the evolution of development practices and technologies within the organization.

  • Leverage your extensive experience to navigate complex technical and procedural challenges with finesse. As a natural communicator, you excel in bridging the gap between diverse stakeholders, architects, and the development team, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients and their patients.

  • Stay at the forefront of technical advancements by immersing yourself in the latest programming techniques and development tools. Engage in educational opportunities, community participation, and contribute to invention disclosures, ensuring that our solutions remain at the cutting edge of innovation.

You're the Right Fit if You:

  • Hold a Master's or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or its equivalent, showcasing your strong educational background and commitment to excellence.

  • Bring a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in developing sophisticated application software in C++ (>=14), demonstrating your depth of expertise and proficiency in the language.

  • Possess outstanding programming and design skills in modern C++, coupled with experience in implementing intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs), using an internally developed framework (like QT) across Windows, Mac, or Linux desktop environments.

  • Have a solid understanding of advanced and product development processes, particularly within the realm of medical devices, reflecting your ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

  • Thrive on collaboration and knowledge sharing, actively contributing to team dynamics and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Excel in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including the software center of excellence and system engineering, leveraging your strong communication and interpersonal skills to drive alignment and achieve collective goals.
